This is what I found on

A 5-year-old boy was caught driving his parents’ car on a freeway in Utah on Monday — apparently on his way to California to buy a Lamborghini.

The kid driver made it a handful of miles, from his home in Ogden to I-15’s 25th Street offramp, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

Troopers initially thought they’d stumbled upon an impaired driver, but soon found their perp was actually a child with a penchant for luxury cars.

According to the boy’s mother, the child left home after she said she would not buy him a Lamborghini, intent on buying it himself.

“He might have been short on the purchase amount, as he only had $3 in his wallet,” state troopers said in a Twitter post.

“Oh, I lost it, something bad could have happened to him,” Adrian’s sister, Sidney Estrada, told 2News.

2News reports:

Estrada says she was watching the family’s children while their parents were both at work. She says she fell asleep. When she woke up, she realized Adrian may be in danger.

The family says Adrian has never driven a car before and they don’t know how he managed to get the keys to the car, much less drive across town and get on the interstate.

“The police told me I drive good,” Adrian told 2News.

Utah Highway Patrol tweeted:

“One of our Troopers in Weber Co. initiated a traffic stop on what he thought was an impaired driver. Turns out it was this young man, age 5, somehow made his way up onto the freeway in his parents’ car. Made it from 17th and Lincoln in Ogden down to the 25th St off-ramp SB I-15.

“His story is that he left home after an argument with Mom, in which she told him she would not buy him a Lamborghini. He decided he’d take the car and go to California to buy one himself. He might have been short on the purchase amount, as he only had $3 dollars in his wallet.”
